Can a human ever become blessed? Is it possible, is it even wanted?
A group of people from all walks of life have gathered in the basement of a closed theatre. They are united by a need for introspection. But as it often happens, something unexpected interrupts them and so they have to struggle with both internal and external obstacles.
On the one hand, Uku Uusberg’s „Silence” is a comedy, where colorful characters, unexpected twists and spontaneous humor keep up the pace. On the other hand it is a sharp-witted inquiry about the timeless nature of a human soul, good and evil, the rights and wrongs of today’s society. How to walk the straight and narrow, when pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth are fighting inside you? And who or what even imposes the „right path” in life?
„Silence” will premiere on the newly opened and long awaited Main Stage of Tallinn City Theatre.
