As one might conclude from the title, “Right You Are (If You Think You Are)” is a play offering many possibilitites of interpretation. The action takes place in a small town in Italy. A public servant has recently moved there with his wife and mother-in-law. Several aspects in the way of life of this unsociable family attract the neighbours’ attention and eventually the whole society is seized by the excitement to find out their “secret”. In the turmoil of intrigues it is finally impossible to tell, who’s lying and who’s telling the truth, or whether the truth exists at all…
