It is the year 1919 and England experiences euphoria of the end of the First World War. On an autumn evening the Conway family is celebrating the 21st birthday of the daughter Kay, doing so with exuberance, which is only to be expected, when the majority of the company is in their early twenties. But in the middle of all the fun time suddenly stops for Kay and a window opens to a different moment. Is it the future, a fantasy or one of the possible scenarios? Is time linear or are the past and the future contained in the present moment? “Time and the Conways” is a multi-layered text, which intertwines personal and generational drama, British 20th century historical narrative and an unusual concept of time, doing it all in an emotional and colourful manner. This is the first time “Time and the Conways” has been produced in Estonia.
